The Culture, Arts and Letters of the Islands association, CALI, was founded in 1999. Its purpose is to promote island culture and literature.
It leads a cultural project all year round from its office located on the island of Ouessant (Brittany, Finistère 29):
– Organization every year, at the end of August: International Island Book Fair
– Animation of a resource center for island literature: the house of islands and books opened in December 2011
– Organization of the Island Book Prize festival
– Publication of a biannual journal of island literature, L’Archipel des Lettres
– Edition
– Organization of writer residencies in Ouessant…
It is open to anyone who wants to actively participate or support us financially.
